Artistic activities
One of the vital ingredients in a well-balanced educational programme is the element of creative, artistic and practical work. Our students discover in drama, music, sculpture, drawing and painting a way of expression to give vent to their most varied talents. Curricular objectives are complemented by extracurricular activities that include Musical Theatre, Choir, Music Academy and Art workshops. Annual theatre presentations are produced in all sections (Kindergarten, Primary and Middle & Senior).
Games & sports
Belgrano Day School has long enjoyed a strong reputation for sport. Inspired by the olympic spirit of taking part, we instil in our students that while the result has its place, the greater objectives of commitment, persistence and teamwork must not be lost and believe that involvement in sport encourages a sense of fair play, leadership and pride. Rugby, hockey, volleyball and football teams participate in interschool matches and in recent years, senior teams have toured Great Britain, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa and Chile. In the latter part of the school year students participate in interschool athletics tournaments and our sporting year closes with the BDS inter-house Sports Day(athletics competition).
ICT
Belgrano Day School actively supports the integration of ICT in all aspects of school life. Technological tools are used across the curricula since the challenge is to learn by means of them, to develop the capacity to think critically and to consider interrelations and their applications .
